På sidelinja Along the touchline
Thanks to all of you who have been responding to the picture! Some of you are asking about the word "touchline". OK, that's what came out of it when I asked my dictionary for a word for the Norwegian "sidelinje". I see now that i could have used "sideline" (!), but I happened to stumble across "touchline" and I fell in love with that word. Could it be that is for rugby only, not for soccer? To be "på sidelinja" - "along the sideline"(?) will usually (in Norwegian) mean to be a spectator very close to the play(gorund), - however,"along the sideline", you are very clearly not one of them being _in_ the play. Also great thanks to Alan S. for encouraging me to do another attempt of (colour)editing the picture. Did it bring an improved version? Your comments are welcome! 31.08.2003 - Enok K.
