Reisa ~ The expedition - 3
Skulpturen "Else" vart reist i 2005 i samband med 100-årsjubileet for oppløysinga av unionen med Sverige. Verket har namn etter Else Sundquist, ein framståande kulturperson m.a. kjent for sitt arbeid for Opera Nord. The sculpture "Else" was erected in 2005 in connection with the national 100 years anniversary for the end of the union of Norway and Sweden. It was composed and constructed by the sculptor Inghild Karlsen in cooperation with Bo Bisgaard. It is named after Else Sundquist, a forestanding cultural personality. The motiv idea is a drying shackle for fish, thus reflecting the baic importance of fishery in this coastal district.
